The vicariate of Russian parishes in France will hold a general assembly

On July 3, 2021, the General Assembly of the Vicariate of Orthodox parishes of the Russian tradition (Metropolis of the Church of Constantinople) will be held in the parish of Saint-Mathieu (commune of Neuilly-sur-Seine, France). The meeting will be attended by clergy and elected delegates from the laity, the website of the vicariate informs.

Also on this day, the parish will serve the bishop’s liturgy, during which new ordinations to deacons and priests will take place. The Liturgy will be broadcast on the Vicariate’s Facebook page.

The previous assembly of parishes that remained in the vicariate of the Metropolis of the Phanar in France after the departure of the Western European Archdiocese to the ROC took place a year earlier. Father Alexis Struve was elected head of the vicariate.
