The head of the UOC-KP Filaret published an appeal on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine. The document was published on the website of the UOC-KP.

Filaret reproaches that the UOC-KP “has been suffering for more than two years as a result of a raider attack by the Orthodox Church of Ukraine carried out with the direct support of the authorities. She was illegally deprived of state registration”.

“Congratulating the Ukrainian authorities on the Constitution Day, I once again appeal to its representatives and, in particular, to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as the guarantor of the Basic Law. I appeal with a request to ensure the implementation of the constitutional rights and freedoms of believers of the UOC-KP to freedom of conscience and religion – to return the state registration of our church.

The UOC of the Kyivan Patriarchate that does not have a religious center either in Moscow, or in Constantinople, or in Rome. It serves only to God and the interests of the Ukrainian people. Its center is in the golden-domed Kyiv with the patriarchal throne,” writes the head of the UOC-KP.
