On June 10, 2021, in the village of Gnizdychne, Metropolitan Sergiy Gensitsky of Ternopil and Kremenets consecrated of a new church, which was built instead of the one captured by the schismatics. This is reported by the official website of the Ternopil Diocese of the UOC.
On this day, during the festive Liturgy, Metropolitan Sergiy was co-served by the rector of the church in honor of the Ascension of the Lord – Archpriest Stepan Balan, as well as a host of clergymen from Ternopil and neighboring dioceses who arrived for the celebration.
The believers of the Orthodox community in the village of Gnizdychne dreamed of a new church, and only thanks to the financial assistance of the benefactor Andrei Biba, their dream became a reality in such a short time. Quite quickly and efficiently, a majestic temple, an iconostasis, heating, a church house-school of the Law of God were erected.
As previously reported, the schismatics in Gnizdychne not only captured the temple, but also attacked the believers and the priest.
