OCU took the temple, but as long as UOC exists in the village, they will never rest, – the rector of the temple in the village of Sadov

What do the schismatics really need in Sadov village, said Archpriest Vladimir Meles to the Telegram-channel “Vitrazh Inform”. It turned out that this, unfortunately, is not an isolated case of aggression by schismatics directed at a priest, his relatives and parishioners of the UOC in the village of Sadov.

“This is not our confrontation, but rather a confrontation between the OCU and us. They took the church, but as long as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church exists in the village, they will never be satisfied, because they cannot take all the believers to them while I serve here.

I will tell you briefly about what happened at night, since the investigation has begun and continues. So far, criminal proceedings have been opened under the article “Hooliganism”. That night I was at the service, I left for Lutsk. My daughter called and said that in the middle of the night, windows were broken in three rooms, through which buckets of pus were thrown. There was a terrible stench. One of them fell onto the bed on which my daughter and little grandson slept. The child was very scared. I cannot convey in words what they experienced then. We had to go to the doctors for help.

Why do I believe that the supporters of the OCU did it? Shortly before that, on March 31 – April 1, the chairman of the religious community of the OCU, who had previously headed this so-called transition in the village to another confession, turned to the Torchinsky settlement head (we refer territorially to Torchin) and said that his patience had “reached a boiling point” and if the head of the village does nothing with me, he will act in his own way.

On April 5, I met with the head of the village in my office, listened to him and replied that for more than 20 years my family and I have been living in this house, but I am a law-abiding citizen, and if the court orders to vacate the premises, I will do so, but still since then I’m not going anywhere. After that, the head of the OCU came to me allegedly to “talk in an amicable way” and asked when I would vacate the house. I answered him the same as I answered earlier to the chairman of the village council.

You see, as I said, the question is not that I shouldn’t live in this house as an ordinary villager, the question is more global – when I leave the village, the religious community of the UOC will go to them, as they believe. This is the goal they are striving to achieve,” says the priest.
