1,060,238 signatures of the faithful of the UOC for the abolition of laws against the UOC, which were transferred to the Office of the President – these are the signatures of active parishioners, and even then not all, because there are a certain number of older people who do not go to church in connection with the coronavirus, and some did not have time to subscribe. Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“After sending the letters in my parish, a certain number of parishioners asked if they could still subscribe. In other words, this million signatures were collected absolutely easily, without stress, exclusively among active parishioners.
Therefore, in my opinion, if in an epidemic, when the number of people in churches became much less, the UOC easily collected 1,060,238 signatures, then how many would the Church collect if the task was to organize the maximum number of signatures?
