Former people’s deputy of Ukraine, an active supporter of “patriarch” Filaret Denisenko, Igor Mosiychuk believes that Ukrainian parishioners should demand a new Tomos of full autocephaly during the next visit of patriarch Bartholomew. Mosiychuk stated this on his Facebook page.
The demands of the supporters of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” include:
“Granting autocephaly to the Church in the status of Patriarchate with the Primate of the Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine.
Tomos, which would not forbid the Ukrainian Church to take care of its diaspora in the world, as it is now.
Granting of a tomos of complete autocephaly, where would be no requirements to buy myrrh in the Patriarchate of Constantinople, but it would be brewed in Kyiv.
Tomos, where would be no statement that the head of the Ukrainian Church is the Ecumenical Patriarch. The head of the Church, as you know, is Jesus Christ.
Tomos, where would be no idea the primate of the Ukrainian Church should carry out communication with other local Churches through the Patriarch of Constantinople”.
Considering the above, Filaret’s group initiates the All-Ukrainian Orthodox Forum “For the Kyiv Patriarchate!”, which will be held in Kyiv in two stages: in April and August this year and will aim to convey to patriarch Bartholomew the demands of Ukrainian Orthodox believers.
