On February 20, 2021, the head of the Phanar, Patriarch Bartholomew, announced that one of the priorities of the Patriarchate of Constantinople is interreligious dialogue, Romfea reports.
Addressing Metropolitan Emmanuel (Adamakis) on the occasion of his appointment to the Chalcedonian cathedra, Patriarch Bartholomew emphasized his “valuable contribution to the promotion of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogues, which are one of the priorities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.”
It also turned out that the “Orthodox testimony to European institutions in Brussels” carried out by Metropolitan Emmanuel on behalf of the Patriarchate of Constantinople “was violated due to the incoherent creation of many branches representing various Orthodox autocephalous churches.”
