Archpriest Georgy Bogdanov, rector of the Paraskevsky parish of the UOC in the village of Tsvitokha, Slavut district, Khmelnytsky region, urges believers not to react to the provocations that are being prepared by supporters of the OCU on Sunday, February 14, 2021. The priest published the corresponding appeal on the Facebook page of the religious community, commenting on the call of the OCU representatives to come to the meeting of the territorial community on allegedly church issues, the Information and Education Department of the UOC reports.
“Thank God Orthodox Christians! I ask everyone to take very seriously the announcements in which they call on February 14 at 12:00 pm at the village council for a meeting about alleged church issues on behalf of N.A. Tarasova and those who support her! So, as the rector of the church, Archpriest. George, whom you have known for a long time, I urge everyone not to participate in this meeting for the reason that you and I have a church preserved by our parents during the difficult time of atheism in Soviet times, ”wrote Father George.
Announcements of the meeting on the “transition” of the UOC parish to the “OCU” from a certain “initiative group” were posted on his Facebook page by a netizen under the name “Lesya”.
