The head of the UOC-KP, Filaret Denisenko, by a decree of February 2, 2021, dismissed Viktor Polyarny from the post of secretary of the vicariate of the Kyiv Patriarchate in the USA and Canada. This was reported on the Facebook page of the UOC Kyiv Patriarchate.

Bogdan Zgoba was appointed as a new secretary of the vicariate.

“The head of the parish of St. Nicholas in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States of America, Archpriest Bogdan Zgoba, has been appointed as the secretary of the Vicariate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate in the United States and Canada”, says the next decree dated February 2, 2021.

After with his dismissal from his post, Viktor Polyarny is obliged to transfer to the newly appointed Secretary of the Vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA and Canada, Archpriest Bogdan Zgoba, antimensions with Filaret’s signatures, issued to him for the Church of St. Andrew the First-Called in Bloomingdale, Illinois in the United States of America.
