Kyiv Council deputy Maryna Poroshenko told how the UOC will be deprived of property in the capital city

The head of the European Solidarity faction, Maryna Poroshenko, a member of the Kiev city council, said that on the initiative of the political force, the Kiev city council decided to organize an inspection of the property and land lease contracts of religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. About it reports UOJ.

“I congratulate everyone! It has succeeded. Today at the meeting of the Kyiv Council we, by a majority of votes, supported two draft decisions regarding the property, property and land lease for religious institutions run by the aggressor country Russia on the territory of the city of Kyiv. And these draft decisions will help us now to check the proper status of agreements regarding 73 plots of land where religious institutions of the Moscow Patriarchate are located. If the lease agreements are expired, we will not renew them and they will have to vacate these territories. If the lease agreement is not over, we will have every reason to file a lawsuit to terminate such agreements ahead of time,” – said the wife of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

We will remind, earlier we reported that recently the acting head of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine Rostislav Karandeyev threatened to evict the monks of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra of the UOC. The official said that the ministry intended to fulfill the court ruling and was ready to do it by any means.
