Since February 2022, the mission of the OCU in Japan has become more active. About it writes Pravblog.
“According to the claims of the “priest” of the mission Pavel Korolyuk, the Ukrainian parish was formed almost 20 years ago at the request of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”, which is still headed by Filaret Denisenko. And after the formation of the “OCU” in 2018, the community began to operate under the leadership of “Metropolitan” Epifany Dumenko”, – stated in the message.
It is known that only for the last year on the islands moved about 2.5 thousand Ukrainians, while in 2021 there were less than a hundred. His parish Korolyuk with the support of the Patriarchate of Constantinople calls no other than “Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Japan”.
It is noted that Metropolitan Amvrosy of Korea (who belongs to the Patriarchate of Constantinople and has the title of exarch of Japan) several times, in violation of canon law, visited the Japanese land and performed independent services in the previously mentioned parish of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Japan.
