On October 29, 2021, Bohdan Zhoba, the Secretary of the Vicariate of the Kyiv Patriarchate in the United States and Canada, had a “monastic vow” in the restored UOC-KP. This was reported on the website of the UOC-KP.

According to the decision of the “patriarch” Filaret Denisenko, the “monastic vow” was performed by the hierarch of the UOC-KP Andriy Marutsak in the house church of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”.

Bohdan Zgoba was named Luka.

As previously reported, Bohdan Zhoba headed Filaret`s Vicariate in the United States after an attempt by former Secretary Viktor Polarny to transfer a foreign structure to the PCU, while this is prohibited by Tomos from the Phanar.

The PCU also “banned” Bohdan Zhoba from serving and reprimanded Filaret, which is apparently being ignored in the restored Kyiv Patriarchate.

The diocese of Greek “Old Calendarists” also passed to Filaret.
