Believers will come to Vladimirskaya Gorka on July 27, on the Day of the Baptism of Rus, and will have a procession with the Cross, confirming their loyalty to God, their Motherland and the Primate, said Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary,  Chancellor of the UOC.

“The procession of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is a call for peace and harmony in our state, for common prayer and unity. Annually, the number of believers in the procession of the Cross in the capital for the Day of the Baptism of Kievan Rus increases by tens of thousands. This is a really large number of people, which testifies to the loyalty of the Ukrainian people to the choice made by Prince Volodymyr, and to the loyalty of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, ”stressed the UOC Administrator.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church on July 27 and 28 is preparing celebrations in honor of the 1033th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus. On July 27, at 13.00, a thanksgiving service will begin on Vladimirskaya Gorka, which will be led by Metropolitan Onuphry, co-served by the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
