The OCU representative admitted that confessions communicated better before the “unification council”

The communication between the representatives of the schism among themselves after the “unification council” did not change in one direction, while the contacts of the newly formed OCU with the canonical UOC significantly deteriorated. Cyprian Lozinsky, dean of the theological department of the Lviv Orthodox Theological Academy, stated this, reports RP.

According to him, with regard to the UOC-KP and the UAOC, “in Lviv even before the Unification Council we lived quite peacefully and amicably, we always served together, especially at the level of parish priests. Nothing changed. To be fair, I will say that nothing has changed in either direction, I mean greater rapprochement…”

Regarding contacts with the UOC, he voiced a “paradoxical, although somewhat natural thing”: “before the Council, we had better communication. The impression is that the representatives of the MP in Lviv, considering us earlier “without grace” and “non-canonical”, even sought communication with us. At least, I often talked over coffee with many priests (and not only priests). After the Council, some kind of self-isolation began in them. They do not make contact, and we do not insist. Although now I can only talk about myself,” added the representative of the OCU.
