The outgoing Ambassador of Ukraine to Ankara, Andrij Sybiha, was received by Patriarch Bartholomew on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, informs orthodoxtimes.
Sybiha asked for the wish and blessing of the Patriarch on his forthcoming departure from Turkey.
He thanked Patriarch “for the good cooperation they had and for the great interest of the Mother Church and personally of the Ecumenical Patriarch for the Ukrainian people and for the granting of the Tomos of Autocephaly to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine”.
The Patriarch thanked him “for the respect he has always shown to the Ecumenical Patriarchate and for his interest in the issues that concern the Mother Church, part of which are many Ukrainians living in the country”.
