On May 21, 2021, at the residence of the head of the UGCC in Kiev, Svyatoslav Shevchuk met with a famous American politician, US Congressman of six convocations, Honorary President of the Association of American Congressmen Jim Slattery.

The parties analyzed the responses from different countries of the world, discussing, in particular, the effectiveness of meeting the spiritual needs of believers. The public situation in Ukraine was also presented to the congressman.
