Serbian Patriarch Porfirije expressed words of support for the UOC during a meeting with a delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Belgrade. This was announced on Telegram by the deputy head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, Archpriest Mykolay Danylevych.
“There was a very warm and friendly meeting with Patriarch Porfirije. The Serbian Church stands firmly on the side of the canonical order and support of the UOC.
Patriarch Porfirije himself, as a person, made a deep impression on me: an ascetic, educated, deep, spiritual, easy-going, disposed, worthy successor of the patriarchs Irenaeus and Paul. I am glad for the Serbian Church that the Lord has given her such a Primate,” said Father Mykolay.
