The hierarch of the Bulgarian Church leads the divine service at the temple of the Russian Orthodox Church in Sofia

On May 9, 2021, on the patronal feast day of St. Nicholas Church – a temple of the Russian Orthodox Church in Sofia, according to the New Julian calendar, the chief secretary of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Bishop Gerasim of Melnish, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Compound. He served with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria.

At the augmented litany, petitions were made for the unity of the Orthodox Church and its preservation from divisions and schisms, as well as for protection from the destructive epidemic. After that, a prayer for peace in Ukraine and a prayer for an end to the pandemic were raised. The BOC hierarch congratulated the parishioners of the church on the patronal holiday and on Victory Day.
