On May 6, 2021, Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem took part in a reception at the Russian Embassy in Israel, dedicated to the Victory Day celebration, where he talked with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the website of the Moscow Patriarchate reports.

Archbishop Aristarchus of Capitoliad, General Secretary of the Jerusalem Patriarchate accompanied the Primate. Among the guests of the festive reception were the heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, politicians and public figures, veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

The head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Archimandrite Alexander (Elisov) and his deputy, Hieromonk Dometian (Markarian), also attended the celebration.
