22 people per village: how the fees for the OCU actually go without administrative resources

In Ivanovo, the administrative center of the Ivanovo territorial community of Vinnitsa region, supporters of the OCU legally registered a new legal entity – their community – and announced that they would build their own church for themselves, writes RP.

Twenty-two people attended the meeting at which the decision to create a religious community was made.

“At the meeting, it was decided that the parish of the holy apostles Peter and Paul will be in Ivanovo. On the territory of the former Kalinovsky region, this is the first community of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, created on the initiative of the believers of our Church,” the message says.

Prior to that, three communities – in Gushchintsy, Salnik and Baykovtsy – became victims of incitement of religious conflict by the raiders of the OCU, they were “transferred” to a new church structure, writes “RP”. And in Ivanovo, the few supporters of the OCU took the legal path.

“To avoid confrontations and quarrels, we chose a different path: we registered the community and soon we will begin to build a church of the holy apostles Peter and Paul in the village. We will install a new one and we will know that this is our church,” the founders of the community promise.
