In the “red” quarantine zones, the authorities will ban visits to churches during the Easter holidays. This decision was made in connection with non-observance of the restrictions by parishioners on Palm Sunday.

This was announced by the head of the State Food and Consumer Service in Kiev, Oleg Ruban, writes Strana.

According to him, on Sunday, April 25, the authorities conducted raids on all churches and saw that Ukrainians did not adhere to any anti-epidemic rules.

“As for the transition in different regions to different zones, in the red zones such holidays will be completely prohibited as mass events. But since there is a decrease in the incidence in some regions, they (there) will be, but with certain restrictions. First of all, fines are provided for citizens who do not comply with safety rules are UAH 170 and UAH 220. As for churches, indeed, there is an administration, an entity that organizes events, penalties will be imposed on them. I would not like to do this, the plan was discussed with each administration actions and measures that will be, and we will only strengthen such measures in Kiev, “the official said.
