Churches will not be closed in Ukraine for Easter

Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko confirmed that the Ministry of Health does not plan to introduce additional quarantine restrictions, but urged Ukrainians to adhere to some recommendations for Easter. He stated this on the air of the 1 + 1 TV channel, reports the RT.

The Ministry of Health recommends that elderly people, people with chronic diseases refrain from visiting temples, and conduct consecration outside the temple. In addition, if possible, the sanitary doctor recommends that one person of the whole family go to the temple on Easter.

They will not strengthen the lockdown on Easter, but this week there will be a meeting of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches, and it will additionally “process the algorithms that have already been developed by the Ministry of Health, so that everything in the churches is in accordance with sanitary standards.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, said that no additional restrictions were planned for Easter.
