The UOC Primate Blessed a Special Prayer Rule for Lent in 2021

Before the beginning of Great Lent, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, Onuphry, sent a message to the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church with words of instruction and blessed them for a special prayer rule for God’s blessing for the Ukrainian land and its people, according to the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

“He is blessed to the faithful of our Church throughout this Great Lent to read one kathisma from the Psalter every day. In addition, it is blessed to do three earthly bows with the prayer “Our Father” with a request for the forgiveness of our sins, as well as three earthly bows with the prayer “Virgin Mary” with a request for God’s blessing for our Ukrainian land and its people,” reads the Message from the Primate.

“God’s blessing be with all of us!” – wished His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry.
