On April 12, 2023, the Sosnovsky District Court of the city of Cherkasy appointed Metropolitan Feodosy of Cherkasy and Kanev a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest with an electronic bracelet. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC with reference to the press service of the diocese.

According to the court decision, such a measure of restraint will be valid for 60 days.

The lawyer of Metropolitan Feodosy said that an appeal would be filed against this court decision. He also noted that the court ignored 1.5 thousand appeals from believers of the Cherkasy diocese with a request not to apply such a strict measure of restraint to Bishop Feodosy.
