On June 16, 2024 in the village of Svityaz, Volyn region, supporters of the OCU have planned a meeting of the “religious community” where they plan to vote “for the transfer to the OCU” of the local St. Peter and Paul Monastery of the Vladimir-Volyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This is reported on the Facebook page of the Svityaz district.
“Dear community of Svityaz district. On June 16, 2024, Sunday, at 15-00 hours in the premises of the House of Culture in the village. Svityaz will hold a meeting of the religious community about the transition to the OCU. You need to have a passport”, – stated in the message.
We will remind, earlier we reported that the Deputy of the Volyn regional Council Andriy Bokoch demands to break all contracts for the right to use real estate, concluded with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the Volyn region. Bokoch paid special attention to the premises of the Holy Dormition Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Nizkinichi in Novovolynskyy district.
