The chairman of the Synodal Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Kliment said in comments to “Strana” that the police blocked the access of monks and seminarians to the storage rooms where food is stored.

“On the territory of the Lavra there are cellars where food is stored. A few days ago law enforcers cordoned off these premises and now we have no access to these warehouses,” Kliment said.

The bishop also emphasized that the UOC is still paying all utility bills despite the fact that the Reserve has been claiming the termination of the contract with the UOC for six months.
