The rector of the Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary, Archbishop Sylvester, said that there is a need for an independent examination of the Charter of the UOC with the involvement of European experts. The bishop wrote about this in an article published on the Dialogue.Tut resource.
He considers the results of the examination conducted by the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience to be erroneous.
“It is precisely this erroneous conclusion that today can become the basis for a legislative ban on communities, monasteries and leading centers of our Church,” the bishop noted.
“Therefore, there is a need to conduct a new impartial examination of the statutory documents of the UOC, including European independent experts,” he stressed.
