The LAVRA Live channel published a comment by Metropolitan Kliment of Nizhyn and Pryluky regarding Satanism under the walls of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra:
“My point of view is that one should not be distracted by such primitive things, which only testify to the cultural, mental and intellectual inferiority of people who resort to this.
Those who do this count on our attention, they need an audience. Ignoring this disgrace will be the best counteraction for him.
Of course, the fact that such shameful cases have recently become more frequent does not mean that they are becoming the norm for Ukrainian society. When the first attempts at public blasphemy appeared, they shocked not only me, but many people.
Today, these people do not evoke other emotions in me, except for deep compassion from the fact that all their behavior testifies not so much to the struggle with the Church, but to a deep inner drama. I hope that someday in their lives they will understand the fallacy of such actions.
