The head of the Cherkasy diocese of the UOC, Metropolitan Feodosiy, declares that the criminal case against him is completely fabricated and is the fulfillment of a political order. This is stated in the video message of the bishop.

“The whole case is fabricated, there is nothing there for which a person could actually be held accountable,” the Metropolitan said. “A political order, without a doubt.”

The metropolitan believes that the criminal case was initiated on the basis of denunciations by former clergymen of the Cherkasy diocese, whom he banned from serving either for causing a schism or for immoral behavior.

The bishop notes that the materials of the case are based on his interviews over the past 10 years.

“Naturally, there is a lot of criticism of the Kyiv Patriarchate, and later of the OCU, a lot of criticism of events and phenomena that eventually led to what we have now – to the persecution of the Church,” said the archpastor. – I did not admit my guilt and do not admit it, because everything that I said, defending the Church of Christ in these interviews, in words, in sermons, in speeches, I did not speak as a politician, not for the sake of any benefits, I spoke as a clergyman . I spoke the truth, and the Truth with a capital letter. And if I am judged for this Truth, and if for this Truth I am condemned even to prison, I will have to accept it as from the hand of God.”
