On the day of the memory of St. Amphilochius, thousands of believers from different parts of Ukraine gathered in Pochaiv for a festive service, the press service of the UOC reports.

Celebrations in the holy monastery began on May 10. On that day, after the All-Night Vigil, the brethren of the monastery and the inhabitants of Pochaev transferred the relics of the saint to the Lavra’s Transfiguration Cathedral in a procession of the cross.

On May 11, a festive All-Night Vigil was celebrated in this church with the reading of an akathist to St. Amphilochius.

On the day of the feast, May 12, Divine Liturgies were celebrated at the Dormition and Transfiguration Cathedrals of the Lavra.

The All-Night Vigil and the late Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral were led by Metropolitan Mark of Khust and Vinogradov, he was co-served by the bishops, brethren of the monastery and guests in dignity.

The celebration ended with a procession, during which the relics of St. Amphilochius were transferred back to the Cave Church.
