On April 26, 2023, the religious community of the Holy Dormition Church of the UOC in the Letychiv village addressed the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of European countries, as well as the UN System Coordinator in Ukraine and the Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine. This statement is reported on the page of the Letychiv deanery of the Khmelnitsky diocese of the UOC.

Parishioners reported illegal actions of local authorities, religious discrimination and gross violation of their rights. The believers also noted illegal interference in the internal activities of their religious community.

The authors of the appeal hope for the renewal of their rights and further observance by the authorities of international legal obligations to ensure the right to freedom of religion.
