On the night of March 28, 2023, an arson was committed against the church in honor of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Kordyshev, Shumsky deanery, Ternopil diocese. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

Red-handed believers of the UOC found all the tools used to commit it.

It is noted that a window was broken in the altar part of the temple, through which a flammable substance was thrown into the temple. The damage that the temple building received as a result of these criminal acts can be seen in the photographs below.

Believers from the Shumsky deanery of the Ternopil diocese are asking for prayers for the rector of the church, Archpriest Georgy, and his flock.
