The Kiev-Pechersk Lavra again suffers “the great misfortune of insane tormentors and their insane decrees, – Metropolitan Pavel

The eviction of monks from the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a flagrant violation of all rights and laws, which can lead to disastrous consequences in society. Metropolitan Pavel, the abbot of the monastery, stated this in an appeal published by the press service of the Lavra.

The bishop expressed regret that today the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra again suffers “the great misfortune of insane tormentors and their insane decrees.”

According to him, there is not a single reason for the brethren to leave the territory of the monastery. The Metropolitan noted that the situation with the eviction of the monks, which is incited by the Ministry of Culture, will not bring any good to Ukraine.
