During the meeting in Vilnius, Patriarch Bartholomew assured that a new perspective is opening up in Lithuania with the possibility of strengthening the presence of the Patriarchate of Constantinople in this country.
“As stated in the cooperation agreement, we support the desire of both Lithuanian Orthodox priests and believers representing other different ethical groups in Lithuania to be able to follow their conscience and restore historical justice by professing their faith in the Church, directly subordinate to the Ecumenical. patriarchy,” he said.
