In the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, no one saw an interdepartmental commission that allegedly checked the Church’s compliance with the agreement on the use of the monastery buildings, and the authorities hide the conclusions of this commission. This was told at a press conference by the head of the Synodal Information and Education Department of the UOC, Metropolitan of Nizhyn and Pryluky Kliment.
“We are offered to take on faith the reports of officials that this was the result of the work of some commission,” the bishop said. – By the way, no one saw this commission, and what it did on the territory of the reserve, what documents it got acquainted with, we do not know. Representatives of the Lavra did not sign any acts, no results of inspections.”
According to the metropolitan, the Ministry of Culture responded to a request from lawyers of the UOC that the results of the examination of the interdepartmental commission were classified as official secrets, and no one could get acquainted with them.
