The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Kindiyka, Kherson, came under fire on March 5, 2023, Pravlife writes.

The shell exploded near the church during the Sunday service. Fragments hit the walls of the liturgical building, glass was broken, no one was hurt.

The house of the rector of the church, Archpriest Valentin Gorokhovsky, received serious damage – the load-bearing wall was destroyed, the building requires major repairs.

According to the priest, this is the second case of shelling of the temple area in Kindiyka. For the first time, on December 6, 2022, a person died in the churchyard, there were destructions.

The community is asking for financial assistance to restore damaged buildings.
