In Lviv, they want to demolish the UOC church, and build an OCU cathedral in its place

On Krasnaya Kalina Avenue, 89 in Lviv, they plan to build a new Holy Transfiguration Cathedral of the OCU. This is stated in the draft resolution published on the information portal of the deputies of the Lviv City Council, reports Espresso.Zapad.

It is known that the St. Vladimir Church of the UOC is located at this address, which was repeatedly defiled with various inscriptions and even suffered a fire.

Public activists of Lviv, according to the publication, in December 2022 received a response to their request from the Lviv City Council that allegedly the St. Vladimir Church of the UOC “does not have permits and there are direct reasons to demolish it.”
