The court sent the secretary of the Kirovohrad diocese of the UOC under house arrest

On January 31, 2023, the investigating judge of the Leninsky District Court of the city of Kropyvnytskyi considered a petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest against the secretary of the Kirovohrad Diocese, Archpriest Roman Kondratyuk. This is reported by the court’s website.

The priest was informed of the suspicion of committing a crime, provided for by the first part of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (inciting religious enmity and hatred, humiliating, insulting the feelings of citizens due to their religious beliefs).

“Having examined all the materials provided by the police, the court granted the prosecutor’s request and imposed a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest against the suspect K. within the limits of the pre-trial investigation,” the message says.
