In the Holy Land, Orthodox priests from Ukraine are allowed to serve only if they prove that they are from the UOC

The head of the pilgrimage center “Istoki” Maria Zaporozhets said that in the churches of Israel and Palestine, Ukrainian Orthodox priests are allowed to serve liturgies and prayer services only after they present certificates that they belong to the UOC and have nothing to do with the OCU. Zaporozhets wrote about this on her Facebook page.

“It is good that our priests have such certificates, on the basis of which the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem gives permission to hold services. Priests and bishops of all other local Orthodox churches around the world serve and pray together with us,” added the head of the pilgrimage center.
