An ecumenical prayer service for Christian unity was held at the Phanar Church in New York

On January 24, 2023, an ecumenical prayer service was held at the Church of St. Nicholas Phanar, located in the World Trade Center in New York, as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Church in the USA of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.

In addition to the hierarchs of the Phanar, representatives of the RCC, Lutheran, Armenian churches, as well as various Protestant denominations took part in the service. The prayer service was led by the head of the Phanar Archdiocese in the USA, Elpidophoros.

The text of the publication states that “through Christ, all enmity and all dividing walls must be cast aside, and His followers must be united and united in the Lord and spiritually become a habitation for God.”
