A bill was submitted to the Rada banning religious organizations with a control center in the Russian Federation

A draft law was submitted to the Rada banning religious organizations with a control center in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the permanent representative of the government in parliament Taras Melnychuk, writes “Politics of the Country“.

“The draft law provides for amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations”, “On State Registration of Legal Entities, Individuals – Entrepreneurs and Public Formations”, which make it impossible for religious organizations to operate in Ukraine, the leading center (management) of which is located outside outside Ukraine in a state that commits armed aggression against Ukraine,” the deputy said.

At the same time, there is no mention of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in his message.

The draft law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the Activities of Religious Organizations in Ukraine” (No. 8371) has already been registered on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, but its text is not yet available.
