Abbot of the Dubovoe’s Monastery of the UOC is forcibly deported from Transcarpathia

The abbot of the Dubovoe St. Ilyinsky Monastery in Transcarpathia will be forcibly evicted from Ukraine. The Migration Service of the Transcarpathian region stated that the clergyman is a Russian citizen whose residence permit has expired.

“As a result of the joint training of employees of the Tyachev department of the Transcarpathian migration service and employees of the SSU, a violator of migration legislation was discovered in the region. It turned out to be a citizen of Russia, the rector of the Dubovoe’s St. Ilyinsky Monastery. The priest lived in the village. Dubovoe is illegal because the residence permit has expired,” the police said in a statement.

It is noted that on December 20, the man was brought to administrative responsibility and a fine of UAH 1,700 was imposed. In addition, a decision was made on forced deportation.
