The Patriarchate of Georgia has released a statement in which it informs the faithful that the celebrations on the occasion of the enthronement and the anniversary of the birth of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia will be limited, Orthodox Times reports.
“Celebrations on the occasion of the enthronement and anniversaries of the birth of the Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia will be held on a limited scale due to the difficult situation in Ukraine and the world.
In addition, there are no plans to invite church leaders, representatives or secular persons,” the Patriarchate said in a statement.
