On December 7, 2022, OCU activists, together with the defense forces, broke into the Assumption Church in the village of Tarasovka, Kyiv region. Among the parishioners who defended the temple was the mother of a Ukrainian soldier, Alexandra Krusyan. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.
When Alexandra was still on the temple grounds, a man called her and told her to return home immediately. Arriving at her house, she heard terrible news – her son Vladimir died in the war.
On the morning of December 8, representatives of the OCU again began to organize provocations. Representatives of Channel 5 came to support them.
The mother of the deceased Hero was forced to kneel and ask the organizers of the brawl, in particular the “cleric” of the OCU, to stop committing lawlessness and give the funeral of the fallen Hero in his native church. During this, the Channel 5 journalist told her operator to turn off the camera.
Now the shamed raiders have retreated. Divine services are performed in the temple and prayers are offered for the repose of the deceased defender of Ukraine, warrior Vladimir. Despite this, the religious community of the Assumption Church fears provocations from the OCU and asks for prayer support.
