The SBU conducts regular searches in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Politics Strana reports.

The security forces came to three monasteries in the Korostensky district – the Chopovitsky convent, the men’s monastery of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and a separate skete of this monastery in honor of Siluan Athos.

The SBU said they were checking “religious communities affiliated with centers of influence in Russia.” Monasteries are looking for “persons who may be involved in illegal activities, and items prohibited for circulation on the territory of our state.”
