On November 30, 2022, Metropolitan Isaiah of Tamasos spoke with journalists after the Liturgy at the Phanar. This is reported by the publication Kathimerini.

When asked whether his participation in the Liturgy, where a representative of the OCU also participated, means support for this structure, Metropolitan Isaiah said that “this is a continuation of our support for the Patriarchate of Constantinople.”

He also noted that “with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and following the theological facts, we could only support the decision of the Patriarch of Constantinople.”
