Apostolic visitor for Ukrainian Catholics in Italy and Spain, Bishop Dionisiy Liakhovich (UGCC) noted that the greatest challenge for all institutions of the divine life of the UGCC abroad is the lack of new vocations, the aging and fading of monasticism. He said this in his speech in Rome at the II International Assembly of Superiors and Superiors of Communities of Consecrated Life of the UGCC, writes Churcher.
He noted that monastic communities outside of Ukraine are in need of restoration.
“In this regard, the Apostolic Exarch expressed the wish that the monastic institutions operating on the territory of Ukraine share their members.
However, His Grace Dionysius emphasized that such members would have to integrate into the local culture,” writes the Telegram channel.
