The State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience reacted to the statement of the Synod of the OCU, which stated that “certain state authorities and local governments prevent transitions” to this structure.
The GESS noted that it had developed recommendations to “help the believers of Ukraine formalize the decision to choose belonging to a particular community so that it is legally protected even in the event of appeals.”
“Our recommendations will help those believers who seek to freely make their choice in a legal way and wish to legalize it,” the GESS website noted.
