The head of the St. Marina Foundation, adviser to Bishop Michael of Komany, Patrick Panasiuk, announced a new information campaign launched in Poland. He wrote about this on his own Facebook page.
“The social and educational campaign #Orthodox Non-Russian is slowly being launched. We want to draw the attention of our society to the fact that Orthodoxy is not only Russia <…> The Orthodox community in Poland has committed a lot of negligence in this matter, focusing mainly on the topic of national and ethnic minorities for many years. This led to the creation of an Orthodox “bubble” in Podlasie,” the report says.
“We, Orthodox Poles, live here from generation to generation <…> Many of us are descendants of Rusyns from the Grand Duchy of Lithuania – citizens of the Commonwealth. Our countrymen are Rusyns, but they are not “Russians”. I also hope that some politicians who identify themselves with the Orthodox Church will stop throwing Russian stumbling blocks at our feet.
Patrick Panasiuk informs that from Tuesday it will be possible to “meet” 15 billboards in Bialystok, and soon they will appear in other areas of Podlasie and other cities of Poland.
