Former General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko believes that the state should take state property from the “non-Ukrainian leadership of the UOC” – the Kiev-Pechersk and Pochaev Lavra. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“Our tolerance for the leadership of the UOC, which did not break ties with the aggressor, did not condemn Putin and his bloody crimes, is increasingly dangerous. Since the time of Khmelnytskyi, the Horde version of Orthodoxy from Moscow has become the main tool for the seizure and de-Ukrainization of our country,” – Lutsenko said.
At the same time, he writes that “we are a civilized state where the government should not dictate what to believe and which church to go to. This is a matter for believers. But the state has the right and must take state property from the non-Ukrainian leadership of the UOC. First of all, Kiev-Pechersk and Pochaev Lavra”.
